Free Invoice Generator is operated by Mikhael Benjamin Santoso. Where the terms and the privacy policy say "we" or "us", this is who they mean.
Why it exists
The aim is narrow: let anyone produce a correct, downloadable invoice in a browser without an account. It is built for the person who needs to send one invoice today and has no accounting software — a freelancer, a contractor, a small business invoicing across borders, someone who invoices once a year.
It also takes a position most invoicing tools do not. A tool for making invoices does not need to be the place your records live, and this one is not: there is no account to keep you here and no history held on our side. The cost of that is stated plainly rather than hidden — your invoices are saved in your browser, so clearing your browser data removes them for good, and the PDFs you download are the copies to keep.
What it is
A free invoice generator that needs no account. Invoices are saved in your browser, not in an account. The data is sent to our server only when you press Download PDF, to make the file; it is held in memory for about a second, not written to disk, not recorded in logs, and not kept after the PDF is sent. Alongside it are free calculators for the arithmetic around getting paid and plain guides to the parts of invoicing that are easy to get wrong.
How the guides and calculators are made
- Where a guide states a rule, it quotes the primary source — HMRC, the IRS, the legislation itself — and links to it, so you can read the original rather than take our word for it.
- Where a rule differs by country, the guide says which country its example comes from, and does not pretend the rule is universal.
- The calculators do arithmetic only. They do not know your tax rate, your payment terms or what you may charge; you supply those, because they depend on where you are and what you agreed.
- Changes are checked against an automated test suite that drives the pages in a real browser, including the arithmetic of every calculator.
- Every page carries the date it was last updated.
What it is not
It is not accounting software, a payments processor, or a place to keep client records. And nothing on this site is legal, accounting or tax advice. It explains how invoices and the sums around them work; what applies to you depends on your jurisdiction and your agreements, and a professional who knows both is the person to ask.

If a guide or a calculator is wrong, please say so by email. A corrected page gets a new "last updated" date.
