Privacy

  • Your invoices are stored in your browser, not on our server.
  • Invoice data is sent to us only when you press Download PDF, and is discarded as soon as the PDF is made.
  • No account and no sign-up. We use Google Analytics to count visits; there is no advertising script.
  • We keep short-lived server logs to keep the service running and to stop abuse.

Your invoices stay in your browser

Every invoice you create is saved in this browser's local storage, on your own device. It is not uploaded, not synced between your devices, and we cannot see it, search it, or recover it.

The practical consequence is worth stating plainly: if you clear your browser data, use private browsing, or switch to another device or browser, those invoices are gone permanently. Download the PDFs you want to keep.

What happens when you press Download PDF

Making a PDF is the one moment your data leaves the browser. When you press Download PDF, the contents of that invoice — the text you typed, and the logo image if you added one — are sent to our renderer. It opens the document in a headless browser, produces the PDF, and sends it straight back to you.

The data is held in memory only for as long as that render takes, usually about a second. It is not written to disk, not recorded in our logs, and not retained after the response is sent. We do not read your invoices, and we have no copy of them.

What our server does record

Like any web service, ours keeps operational logs. They contain your IP address, the time of the request, which endpoint was called, the response status, and technical details of any error. They exist to keep the service available, to diagnose faults, and to detect abuse — not to build a profile of you.

We also count recent requests per IP address so that no single source can exhaust the renderer. That counting is held in memory and is not a permanent record.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. Apart from those, this site sets no cookies of its own by default, and it contains no fingerprinting of any kind.

One optional exception exists. Counting requests per IP address punishes people who share one — an office, a campus, a mobile network — because they share a single budget. If that becomes a real problem we enable a single cookie, named ig_v, to count browsers rather than addresses. It contains a random identifier, an expiry date, and a signature proving we issued it. It carries no personal data and nothing from your invoices, it is not readable by scripts, it is not shared with anyone, and it expires after 30 days. Its only use is deciding how many PDFs you may render.

Third parties

We use Google Analytics to see how many people use the generator and which pages they reach. It records the usual visit measurements — pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser, and where you arrived from. It receivesnothing from your invoices: the analytics script runs on the site pages only, never on the page the PDF is rendered from, and it is never given the contents of a document you are editing. Google's own handling of this data is covered by theGoogle Privacy Policy. Browser "Do Not Track" settings and tracker-blocking extensions stop it, and the generator works exactly the same when they do.

Beyond that there is no advertising network, no social widget, and no embedded third-party content on this site. The advertising areas you may see in the layout are static placeholders; they load nothing and report nothing.

Fonts are served from our own server rather than a font CDN, so simply opening the page does not announce your visit to anyone else.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and store no invoices, there is normally nothing of yours for us to hand over or delete — the copies live on your device and are under your control. If you believe our server logs contain information about you and you want it addressed, write to[email protected].

Children

This is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with data changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the revised policy.
