Free Invoice Generator

Timesheet calculator

Enter when you started and finished, and any break. This turns the time into the decimal hours an invoice bills, rounds each entry to the increment you bill in, and shows what the rounding added.

How you bill

One line is the usual invoice. A line per row is a timesheet on the invoice, for clients who ask for one. Each line is rounded to the cent, so the two can differ by up to half a cent a line.

Time worked

One row per stretch of work. A finish earlier than the start is counted as running past midnight.

What the timesheet calculator does not do

  • It does not track time. Enter times you have already noted; this works out what they come to.
  • It does not know which increment your contract uses, or whether it rounds up, down or to the nearest. Check before you pick one: rounding every entry up to a quarter of an hour can add a good deal to a day of short tasks.
  • It does not handle a stretch longer than a day. Split one that runs past 24 hours into two rows.
  • It does not keep anything. Nothing is written to your browser's storage while you use it and nothing is sent to us, so the figures are gone when you close the tab. Press Create this invoice if you need a document: the figures are handed to the invoice generator in this tab, cleared as soon as it opens, and saved there as a new invoice alongside any you already have.
