What this calculator does not do

  • It does not keep anything. Nothing is written to your browser's storage while you use it and nothing is sent to us, so the figures are gone when you close the tab. Press Create this invoice if you need a document: the figures are handed to the invoice generator in this tab, cleared as soon as it opens, and saved there as a new invoice alongside any you already have.
  • It does not track time. Enter hours you have already counted; this works out what they come to.
  • It does not know your tax rate, and it does not check whether you are required to charge tax at all. It applies the rate you type.
  • It does not suggest an hourly rate. What you should charge depends on your market, your costs and your client, none of which are arithmetic.
